Adult Division

Our adult program is intended for ages 16 and up, and there are no weekly class requirements. Class card packages are offered. (Note: some exceptions may be offered for teens younger than 17 with approval.) The classes in this division meet year round, with the exception of some studio closings. Please check the calendar for more information.

Adult dance classes for ages 17 and up, with no weekly class requirements.

Beginning Ballet

This class is perfect for those interested in gaining poise, flexibility, strength, and a joyous sense of movement. Little or no experience is required.

Registration Forms

Class length: 1 hour
Dress requirements:
Ballet shoes; leotard or t-shirts; dance skirts; tights, exercise or jazz pants. Basically, clothes that allow for a full range of motion but are form fitting enough for the teacher to observe how the body is working. Women should pull hair away from face, with long hair being secured in a bun or clamp.

Advanced Beginning Ballet

Two to three years of training recommended.

Class length: 1 hour 30 minutes
Dress requirements:
Comfortable workout attire, or tights, leotard and/or skirt.

Intermediate Ballet

Four or more years of training is recommended.

Pointe A, Adult Participation

Adults with the requisite training may join this class with the approval of the instructor, and the preceding technique class must be taken.

Class length: 45 minutes

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet

This class is combined with the Academy Division Ballet III classes. There is a pointe class immediately following that adults may take.

Pointe B, Adult Participation

Adults with the requisite training may join this class with the approval of the instructor, and the preceding technique class must be taken

Floor Barre

Floor barre covers a wide range of strengthening and stretching exercises and is based on ballet-type movements. It is suitable for both dancers and non-dancers. Mats are provided.
